I have a new book out: STILL THE RIVER FLOWS: WINTER SOLSTICE AND CHRISTMAS RITUALS IN A CARPATHIAN VILLAGE. It includes bilingual (Ukrainian-English) lyrics of songs from these pre-Christian rituals and detailed descriptions of the rituals themselves which are still practiced in mountain villages in Ukraine. I worked on this beautiful book with Virlana Tkacz and it includes amazing photos by Alexander Khantaev. There’s a great review and description of the book here! I’m so excited.

I just found out one of my most recent poems, from my series Silent Pictures Recognize the World II, will be included in this wild shoe museum in Belgium as well as on their website.

The exhibit includes artists’ work shoes sometimes turned into artwork as well as an ethnographic section of shoes from traditional cultures, a designer section and now drawing, cartoons and writings about shoes.
